Ambassador Chase Untermeyer presented his credentials to Qatar's Minister of State for Foreign Affairs, Ahmad bin Abdullah Al Mahmoud, in Doha on September 12, 2004. The minister on this occasion wished the Ambassador success in his mission here.
Ambassador Chase Untermeyer was sworn in as the new Ambassador to State of Qatar on the 10th of August at a function in the State Department. The Secretary of State, Collin Powell in his remarks at the swearing in ceremony said "Chase Untermeyer's diverse talents make him uniquely qualified to lead our mission in Qatar."
