The IRS customer service employees in the USA can answer your technical tax questions and make tax account adjustments. You may also contact the IRS office at the U.S. Embassy Office in Berlin. The telephone number for tax assistance is 030/8305-1136 / 1140, or you may fax your questions to 030/8305-1145 (please note that tax assistance is not tax preparation). Telephone and walk-in assistance is available from 9:00 am to 12:00 pm Monday through Friday except German and American Holidays. The office is located at Clayallee 170, 14195 Berlin, Germany.

Volunteer Embassy and Consulate Tax Assistance (VECTA). There are VECTA programs in Frankfurt, Munich and Düsseldorf. VECTA assistance is provided on an appointment-only basis.
