Utility Management Assistance

FEMP can provide direct technical assistance to agencies seeking assistance accessing state energy efficiency funds, purchasing renewable power or developing a utilities management strategy to deal with market price volatility or industry restructuring.

More specifically regarding renewable power, FEMP can help agencies evaluate renewable power purchasing options, coordinate renewable energy purchases with utilities; help utilities develop green pricing programs; and organize competitive electricity or renewable energy certificates procurements including assisting with solicitation development, publicizing the solicitation, organizing bidder's meetings, and evaluating bids.
