code + the 7 digit Centrex number: 2. From long distance points: To persons who call you long distance, give your number as area code 301, then either (480, 451, 402, 443, 594, 435, 496, or 827) + the remainder of the number. 3. To make Long Distance Calls: To make
an official call within the United States (including Alaska and Hawaii),
Puerto Rico, or the U.S. Virgin Islands, dial 9 + 1 + (area code) + 7
digit number. 4. Calling Card Long Distance Dialing:
Authorized individuals making long distance calls from an NIH office telephone
may complete a call without the intervention of the NIH operators. For
