Note: This feature is for Contracting Officers Only

Permanently Delete an Evaluation (Physical Delete) - Contracting Officers Only

This feature will allow the Contracting Officer (CO) to permanently delete an evaluation prior to submitting it to the Contractor Representative. This is called a physical delete. Once an evaluation has been sent to a Contractor Representative it can not be deleted by the CO. (NOTE: a deletion of an evaluation that has already been sent to the Contractor Representative is called a logical delete). A request for a logical delete must be sent to our office with explanation.

Instructions for performing a physical delete are listed below:

1. Access CPS: https://cps.nih.gov

2. Log In

3. Choose the red tab "Evaluation Status"

4. In a new column labeled "Delete", a green trash will appear next to any evaluations that are eligible for a physical delete. A red lock will appear next to evaluations that have been submitted to the contractor representative and are not eligible for a physical delete.

6. A pop up window will display a synopsis of the evaluation to be deleted.

7. Review the information carefully.

8. Select "Delete" to permanently delete the evaluation or select "Cancel" to cancel the request.

9. After successfully deleting the evaluation, close the pop up window by clicking on the button "Close Window".

10. The deleted evaluation will no longer be on the "Evaluation Status" page.

An evaluation can be deleted at any point during the evaluation process as long as it has not been submitted to the contractor representative. Once an evaluation has been deleted it CAN NOT be retrieved.
