FCC EEO Policy Statement

It is the policy of the Federal Communications Commission to promote and ensure equal employment opportunity for all persons regardless of race, color, sex, national origin, religion, age, disability or sexual orientation. In order to achieve this policy and to dispel any appearance of illegal disparity, Commission staff at all levels must be aware and understand these principles and efforts. This awareness and understanding and the resultant efforts will apply to all personnel decisions, practices and personal interactions among peers and with subordinates.

Managers at all levels share with the Office of Workplace Diversity and the Human Resources Management staff of the Office of Managing Director the responsibility for equal employment opportunity. Managers will continue to be held accountable for achieving the Commission's adherence to this policy objective and will have their annual performance evaluated in terms of these, as well as other, major Commission goals.

Michael K. Powell
Chairman
