Smith Bill Fights Intellectual Property Crimes

Rep. Smith released the following statement on the Bush administration’s new effort to fight intellectual property theft:

“Last week the House passed legislation I authored that assists law enforcement authorities in their efforts to investigate and prosecute intellectual property crimes.   I look forward to working with the administration and the Senate so we can toughen federal law.   Internet fraudsters and thieves must be held accountable for their crimes.  American jobs and profits are at stake.”
