Two NODC employees receive Master Degrees
- May 2004
Mrs. Diana Abney of the Library and Information Services Division and Mr. Don Collins of the Data Base Management Division received their Master of Library Science degrees from the University of Maryland College of Information Studies on Friday, May 21, 2004. NODC staff celebrated their achievements with an office party on May 27.

The NOAA Photolibrary contains over 20,000 copyright-free images, available
online at no charge. There are photos from ship to shore, satellites to land and
sea sensors, modern day photographs to historic plates from the NOAA Library's
historic book collections. It's no small wonder that the NOAA Photolibrary has
become one of the more popular photo collections on the web!

The science discussion seminar series is an opportunity to support, learn, share, interact, and discuss examples of the work conducted at NODC and elsewhere with your colleagues and guest speakers. We are always looking for volunteers to present new seminars. The content of the seminars can be any science/environmentally related issue.


Retirements - January 2004

NODC announces two key retirements: NODC Director, Lee Dantzler and Dr. Anthony Picciolo from the Coastal Ocean Lab. retired from federal service in January 2004.
