For the first time, vision objectives have been included in Healthy People 2010, a national disease prevention initiative that identifies opportunities to improve the health of all Americans.

National Eye Health Education Program (NEHEP)
Through NEHEP, the National Eye Institute conducts large-scale public and professional education programs in partnership with national organizations.
