The National Arboretum does not permit any type of wedding ceremonies to be held within the National Arboretum grounds. Wedding photographs are permitted at the National Arboretum for a fee.

Arts Club of Washington: 2017 Eye St., NW, 202-331-7282. Ceremony and reception can be held inside: 25 seated dinner, 300 buffet, 125 in the garden.
Decatur House: 748 Jackson Place, NW, 202-842-0920. Museum on Lafayette Square near the White House. Entire site may be rented including the brick Federal townhouse, courtyard, carriage house, and conference center. Maximum capacity 500 standing. Caterer required.
Meridian House: 1630 Crescent Pl., NW, 202-939-5592. The house accommodates 400 standing, 200 sitting; use of the garden which may be tented increases standing capacity to 500 or more.
Old Stone House: 3051 M St., NW, Wednesday-Sunday, 11 a.m. to 4 p.m., 202-426-6851. Wedding ceremonies are held in the garden behind the structure. Capacity 35 or fewer.
Sewall-Belmont House and Museum: 144 Constitution Ave., NE,
202-546-1210. An Elegant Federal-style mansion on Washington, DC's historic
Capitol Hill. The interior terrace, with its wall of elegant French doors, accommodates
a dinner for 40 or a cocktail reception for 75. Open the doors and step onto
the brick patio and into the spacious tent for a standing reception for 350
guests or a seated reception for 150, with ample room for music and dancing.
Theodore Roosevelt Island, Montrose Park, Rock Creek Park, Tidal Basin.
Call National Capital Park Service, 202-208-3100, and they will refer you to
the Permits Office for the particular park. No real indoor facilities available.
Thomas Law House: Tiber Island Cooperative Homes, 461 N St., SW, 202-554-0309. Historic Federalist house built in 1794 faces the Potomac River. Four entertainment rooms, patio, and front lawn. Capacity: 50-150 indoor, 300 outdoor. In-house caterer, convenient parking.
White-Meyer House: 1624 Crescent Pl., NW, 202-939-5592. Capacity:
400 standing, 180 seated.
Woodrow Wilson House: 2349 S St., NW, 202-387-4062. 175 people
in house and on the terrace. Garden may be used for 200 if a canopy is rented.
Wedding ceremonies and dancing in the house prohibited, outside use only.
Brookside Gardens: 1500 Glenallen Ave., Wheaton, 301-949-8231. Several gardens/sites to chose from. Capacities range from 20-250 people. List of approved caterers available.
Lodge at Little Seneca Creek: 14500-A Clopper Road, Boyds, 301-299-5026. The rustic charm of this site, located on the outskirts of Germantown will make all of your events unique and unforgettable. Capacity: 180 people buffet style or 120 people seated.
London Town Public House and Gardens: 839 Londontowne Rd.,
Edgewater, 410-222-1919. Set among the woodland gardens of a 23 acre park overlooking
the South River, the site can accommodate ceremonies and receptions for up to
125 people.
McCrillis Gardens and Greentree Estate: 6910 Greentree Rd.,
Bethesda, 301-949-8230. Indoor and outdoor accommodations are available for
wedding receptions. A tent is required outside. Kitchen facilities are available.
Weekends from 10 a.m.-7 p.m.
Montpelier Mansion: Route 197, Laurel, 301-953-1376. Outdoor
weddings. Holds 100 people (50 each wing).
Newton White Mansion: 3006 Enterprise Rd., Mitchellville, 301-249-2004.
Mansion and grounds available. Holds 200 people. Mansion has a caterer’s
kitchen.
Oxon Hill Manor: 6901 Oxon Hill Rd., Oxon Hill, 301-839-7782.
(Tuesday-Friday, 10 a.m.-3 p.m.) Patio, back and side lawns, garden, as well
as the first floor are available for weddings, receptions, and meetings. 300
indoors. Larger capacity with tenting.
Riversdale House Museum: 4811 Riverdale Rd., Riverdale, 301-864-0420.
Up to 75 people. Rental cost differs for county/non-county residents. Catering
kitchen.
Rockville Mansion: 603 Edmonston Dr., Rockville, 301-309-3001.
Mansion is air conditioned and has a ballroom for dancing. Formal gardens or
conservatory available. Stand-up buffet for up to 225 guests.
Rockwood Manor: 11001 MacAuthur Blvd., Potomac, 301-299-5026. Contemporary wedding, reception, or party, Accommodates 150 people buffet style or 100 people seated.
Strathmore Hall: 10701 Rockville Pike, Rockville, 301-530-0540. Will hold 250 people for buffet. Dressing room for the bride upstairs. Rates differ according to day of the week and resident status.
William Paca House: 186 Prince George St., Annapolis, 410-263-5553.
Gardens have two brick terraces for reception. Available 5 p.m.-10 p.m., caterer
a must. 150 capacity.
Woodend Mansion, Audubon Naturalist Society: 8940 Jones Mill
Rd., Chevy Chase, 301-652-9188. Garden and large hall with a guest capacity
of 125. Catering services available along with rental fees specified according
to the estate’s coordinator. Outdoor ceremonies available.
Woodlawn Manor: 16501 Norwood Rd., Sandy Spring, 301-585-5564.
For intimate events, Woodlawn Manor can hold up to 40 people seated indoors
or 200 people inside and outside with the use of a tent.
Cabells Mill: 5235 Walney Rd., Centerville, 703-938-8835. The mill holds 150 people on two floors. Grounds are available, including an amphitheater for the wedding ceremony (additional cost). Rental differs for county/non-county residents. Security deposit required.
Carlyle House: 121 North Fairfax St., Alexandria, 703-549-2997. Wedding ceremonies may be held on terrace or in the garden. 80 seated /100 standing.
Cedar Knoll Inn: 9030 Lucia Ln., Alexandria, 703-360-7880. Ceremonies and receptions are held in doors or out. Privately owned restaurant built in 1845 overlooks Potomac.
Collingwood Library & Museum: 8301 East Blvd. Dr., Alexandria, 703-765-1652. Mansion with terrace and gardens may be used. Rental costs vary depending on use of the building. 100-125 capacity. Kitchen/no stove.
Gunston Hall: 10709 Gunston Rd., Mason Neck, 703-550-9220. Modern building on a 556 acre estate. Large room leads to courtyard. 130 seated, 180 standing. Estate has a house built in 1755 by George Mason, author of the Virginia Declaration of Rights.
Lee-Fendell House: 614 Oronoco St., Alexandria, 703-548-1789. The house holds 85 people. The garden will seat 150. No amplified music or dancing is permitted inside the House.
Old Town Hall: 3995 University Dr., Fairfax, 703-385-7858. Build in 1902 the hall is perfect for receptions of about 200. Warming kitchen.
River Farm: 7931 East Blvd. Dr., Alexandria, 703-768-5700. Once owned by George Washington, River Farm is now headquarters for the American Horticultural Society, Capacity: 125 indoors or 200 using the tented terrace.
Woodlawn Plantation: P.O. Box 37, Mt. Vernon, 703-780-4000. Receptions may be held in the House and formal garden only after 5pm. Limited to 75 standing, 50 seated inside, 1000 people outside.
