The USGS web site which referred you to this document conforms to the general U.S. Department of Interior policy on privacy as outlined in the DOI Privacy Statement and as detailed below.

This is how we will handle information we learn about you from your visit to our website. The information we receive depends upon what you do when visiting our site.
