International Space Station

Drawing upon the scientific and technological resources of 16 nations across the globe, the International Space Station opens the space frontier like no previous endeavor. The orbiting outpost promises to change the face of science, enabling research in a microgravity environment impossible to achieve on Earth. As the final checkpoint for U.S.-launched Station hardware, Kennedy Space Center plays a key role in the development of the growing outpost, from pre-launch processing of permanent Station elements to successfully launching each U.S. mission to the Station. For technical information regarding lab and design capabilities, points of contact and team goals of the Integrated Product Team, visit Public/Technical Outreach.
