City of Birmingham Awards Contracts Under the Bond Program
The City of Birmingham, Alabama recently awarded $1,141,000 to minority vendors under the initial round of the City Bond Program. The City of Birmingham/Office of Economic Development, the grantee for the Birmingham Minority Business Opportunity Committee , is under the direction of Ms. Carol Clarke. The City of Birmingham/Office of Economic Development worked closely with Birmingham MBOC staff members to identify minority-owned businesses utilizing MBDA's Phoenix-Opportunity Database. Under this phase of the Bond Program, contracts were awarded to the following minority-owned firms:
- Owens & Woods Partnership;
- USInfrastructure;
- A.G. Gaston Construction;
- Brantley Visioneering, Inc.; and
- Woods Contracting Services.
