  • For Windows XP, Windows XP Service Pack 1a (xpsp1a_en_x86.exe) must be installed before any of the MS security updates.
  • Windows XP Update Rollup 1 (WindowsXP-KB826939-x86-ENU.exe) should be installed after Windows XP Service Pack 1.

Note: Windows XP update rollup is a cumulative packaged set of hotfixes, security patches and critical updates released on Oct 2003
