| The Atomic Energy Commission opened the Nevada Operations Office at 2753 South
Highland Drive in Las Vegas, Nevada, in March 1962. After a period of 35 years, May 1997,
the doors on Highland Drive closed and the Nevada Operations Office relocated to the
Nevada Support Facility. Most of the work performed by our federal
employees is project management in the scientific and engineering fields. Supporting these
scientific and engineering functions are a variety of technical and administrative
positions.
