 Coming in 2005, FSA's new Farm Business Plan
Beginning in mid-2005, direct and guaranteed borrowers will be able to fill out and submit the Farm Business Plan online to FSA offices from their homes, offices, or other facilities with Internet access.  The new Plan is powered by easy-to-use computer software that is one of the most widely used financial planning tools in the lending industry today.  Click here for the Farm Business Plan fact sheet.

Proposed streamlining of FSA direct loan regulations
FSA recently published a proposed rule in the Federal Register to simplify regulations for the direct Farm Loan Programs. Comments on the rule must be submitted by April 9, 2004. To download the rule or submit a comment, click here.

Beginning Farmer and Rancher Land Contract Guarantee Pilot Program
In September of 2003, FSA launched a 5-year pilot program designed to help beginning farmers and ranchers purchase land. The pilot program will be tested in Indiana, Iowa, North Dakota, Oregon, Pennsylvania, and Wisconsin from 2003-2007. See our Federal Register notice for program details.

Real Estate For Sale
The FSA real estate for sale web site provides an online guide to Government-owned real estate and potential foreclosure sales information, which includes farm/ranch properties, houses, lots, and buildings. This site provides access to detailed information about each of the properties and links to other USDA web sites providing a variety of services.

FSA Historical Farm Loan Documents
This site provides an archival database of historical farm loan notices.

Distribution of FSA Loan Obligations
This 11-page PDF report provides access to information on farm loan data by race, national origin, and sex, by State and region as well as nationally, on an annual basis and as allowed by Federal privacy law.
