Gene Expression and Genomics Unit
The Gene Expression and Genomics Unit (GEGU) is engaged in the development, use, and analysis of cDNA microarrays in the Intramural Research Program of the National Institute on Aging. We provide an interactive approach to meet the needs of each Principal Investigator or Laboratory. Our experience is greatest with membrane cDNA microarrays. We produce both small custom cDNA microarrays (containing ~1000 cDNAs) as well as larger, human and mouse arrays (up to 20,000 cDNAs). The Unit is also engaged in the analysis of large scale gene expression data as it relates to these arrays, and has several platforms available for the analysis and visualization of microarray data, and bioinformatic data mining.
