The Bonneville Power Administration operates one of the most reliable transmission grids in the world. BPA markets electricity at cost from 31 federally owned dams, one non-federal nuclear plant and several non-federal hydroelectric projects and wind energy generation facilities to Northwest utilities. Critical to the agency's mission is its commitment to involve the public in decisions, acquire cost-effective conservation and improve conditions for fish and wildlife in the Columbia River Basin.
