The Research Contracts Branch (RCB) participates in the planning, review, award and management of all National Cancer Institute (NCI) contracts and simplified acquisitions. In addition, RCB acts as a service center for contract actions and purchasing required by the National Institute of Neurological Disorders and Strokes (NINDS) and the National Center for Complementary and Alternative Medicine (NCCAM). The branch is divided into the following Sections: RCB StructureOffice of the ChiefThe Office of the Chief is responsible for the management of the Research Contracts Branch. Epidemiology and Support SectionThe Epidemiology and Support Section awards and administers contracts on behalf of the Division of Cancer Epidemiology and Genetics and the Office of the Director. Prevention, Control and Population Sciences SectionThe Prevention, Control and Population Sciences Section awards and administers contracts on behalf of the Division of Cancer Prevention and the Division of Cancer Control and Population Sciences. Purchasing and Support Acquisition SectionThe Office of the Chief also is responsible for Purchasing and Support Acquisition Section. Small Business OfficeThe Small Business Office works to increase the participation of small and disadvantaged businesses in contracts and subcontracts. Treatment, Biology, and Sciences SectionThe Treatment, Biology, and Sciences Section awards and administers contracts on behalf of the the Division of Cancer Treatment, and Centers, Division of Cancer Biology, and the Center for Cancer Research. |
