The National Quality Measures Clearinghouse™ (NQMC™), sponsored by the Agency for Healthcare Research and Quality (AHRQ), U.S. Department of Health and Human Services, provides the following resources to NQMC users.
The NQMC CD-ROM Tutorial walks you through a series of informative demonstrations and scenarios on using the NQMC.
Answers to a number of questions received from NQMC users can be found in the NQMC FAQ.
The NQMC Glossary provides clarifying definitions and examples of terms used to describe common properties of health care quality measures used in the NQMC structured abstracts (summaries).
NQMC provides a complete list of NQMC Measure Summaries (with NQMC accession numbers) that have been withdrawn from the NQMC Web site in a Measure Archive. The listing is organized alphabetically, by organization name.
NQMC captures information that enables users to view groups of measures within their organizational context. For more details on the various levels and development of the hierarchy, visit the Measure Hierarchy page.
NQMC provides a Measure Index of all measure summaries available through the Web site. The listing is organized alphabetically, by organization name.
Measures that are submitted and accepted into NQMC are renamed to standardize the style and format of measure titles across organizations. NQMC has developed naming conventions for each domain of measurement represented on the Web site, i.e., Access, Outcome, Patient Experience, Process, and Structure. The Search Forms resource offers Web developers the ability to create their own unique search interfaces with the NQMC Web site.
NQMC provides material on how to use, select, apply, and interpret a measure. Resources have been selected not only from the peer-reviewed journal literature, but also from non-journal sources. Visit the Using Measures and the Selecting Measures pages to find out more.
The NQMC Web site offers features such as an electronic discussion list forum, a subscription management update service, the ability to download Personal Digital Assistants (PDAs), and links to XML Views of measure summaries. Visit the Site Features page for more information.

The Web Developer Tools resource provides Web developers with RSS feeds of the entire inventory of NQMC content. Using this resource, Web developers can easily incorporate headline information from our Web sites and navigate back to our sites for detailed summaries and other features.
