The following sites are hosted and maintained by Northern Prairie Wildlife Research Center:
North Dakota GAP Analysis Project
Resource inventory is a prerequisite for program direction and management decisions throughout all resource systems whether at the local, regional, or national level. The goal of the ND GAP Analysis Project is to improve the conservation of natural resources in North Dakota by making digital maps and associated databases for land cover, terrestrial vertebrate species, and public lands available to land managers.
North Dakota Natural Science Society
The North Dakota Natural Science Society seeks to promote interest in and understanding of natural history in the northern Great Plains, to encourage the conservation of natural resources, and to provide communication among individuals, institutions, and organizations of like interests. Membership is open to all interested in the natural history of the Great Plains.
Biometrics Working Group
The Biometrics Working Group is a chartered organization within The Wildlife Society. Its mission is the study and transfer of information relative to development and application of biometrical methods appropriate for use in the research and management of wildlife resources. Membership in the working group is open to any member of The Wildlife Society with an interest in its mission.
Evaluation of Restored Wetlands in the Prairie Pothole Region
Restoration of wetlands remains a subject of management interest throughout North America. Evaluation of such efforts remain problematic, however, and applicable guidelines are not available. This is an invitation to join us in a large-scale investigation to address the specifics of wetland restoration over a broad landscape and at several levels of study.
