Executive Oder 13272, signed on Auguest 13, 2002, sets new requirements for Federal agencies to comply with the Regulatory Flexibility Act, "as amended (5 U.S.C. 601 et seq.) (The Act.)" This order is a strong statement from the Executive Branch in imposing procedural requirements on independent agencies.
