How to Use FastLane for SBIR/STTR Project Reports

(You MUST Be Signed-up for Electronic Signature)

The National Science Foundation requires all grantees to use the "Project Reports" element of NSF's FastLane system.  FastLane is an on-line application using the World Wide Web to facilitate information exchange with the research community.  We request that you submit your project reports via FastLane.

How to Prepare a Report for FastLane Submission:

A PI creates and submits the required report using a report template provided by FastLane.  The technical information can be prepared with a word processor and then copied and pasted into the appropriate report.

What Reports Module to Use?

Interim Report Module is used for 6, 12, and 18 month progress reports.

Final Report Module (which includes the required Commercialization Report section) is used upon completion of the project

How to Access FastLane:

Go to the NSF Home Page (www.nsf.gov) and select "FastLane", or access FastLane directly (www.fastlane.nsf.gov).  FastLane works best if you use either Netscape Navigator/Communicator or Microsoft Internet Explorer, versions 4.01 or higher.
