Nation's migratory bird resource in the Mississippi
Flyway.

Ecological Services manages the following programs:
Habitat Conservation, Endangered Species, Contaminants,
and Private Lands.
Ecosystems
Provides information about each of the ecosystems found
in Region 3.
Endangered Species
More than 60 species are Federally listed as endangered
or threatened in Region 3. Find out more about these
species, including photos and the states in which they
are now found.
Federal Aid
Working in partnership with States, this program
administers grants to protect and enhance wildlife and
habitat.

National Wildlife
Refuges
There are 46 National Wildlife Refuges in Region 3
hosting nearly 7.5 million visits last year. We invite
you to learn more about them.
Partners for Wildlife
This program works with private landowners to restore
wetlands, prairie, streams, and watersheds through
voluntary cost share agreements.
Planning
Planning for new and existing National Wildlife Refuges
to preserve and improve fish and wildlife, their habitats
and the human environment.
Realty
The Division of Realty focuses on new lands, conservation
plans, and managing real estate records.
Wetlands
Region 3 includes 11 Wetlands Management Districts. Learn
