B. G. Sheppard
Ed.D., Organizational Development
B.G. has been a full-time or adjunct faculty member since 1978. Her areas of teaching expertise include organizational change strategies, organizational development, organizational change management, strategic planning, and executive career planning. She has extensive work experience in both the private and public sectors. She has served in the private sector as Director of Change Management Consulting for Electronic Data Systems where she managed senior consultants who analyzed human performance needs and defined business solutions by improving both individual and organizational performance. She also served as Corporate Manager of Organizational Development and Director of Personnel for the Martin Marietta Corporation. She held positions of Assistant Director of Information Services Directorate for the Office of Secretary of Defense and Dean of Academic Affairs for the Information Resources Management College of the National Defense University. B.G. has also served on the faculty of the University of Michigan Business School Executive Development Programs. She has served as an adjunct professor for the University of Virginia, the University of Michigan and the University of Southern California. Her legislative experience includes serving on Capitol Hill in the position of Executive Assistant to a United States Senator. B.G. has completed a B.S. degree from Marietta College, an M.A. degree from Radford University, and an Ed.D. from the University of Virginia. She has done post-doctoral work at Columbia University.
