Alfred Cooke
Ph.D., N.C.C.C., N.C.C., Organizational and Human Development
Al has been an organization development specialist for the past 20 years. He specializes in issues affecting organization and individual interaction. He works to achieve individual and organization compatibility by exploring ways that both can adjust and grow to meet their individual needs. He has concentrated in the areas of leadership development, organizational consulting, human resource development, learning organizations, corporate university development, training and program development, resource management, management improvement, coaching, group facilitation, strategic planning, diversity and adult learning. Most recently he held the position of Chief Learning Officer at Detroit Edison. Prior to this he was Director of the American University/National Training Laboratory (AU/NTL) master's degree program in Organization Development. He has also taught at the university and secondary levels. Al has consulted to nearly a hundred public and private sector organizations. He recently edited and had published the definitive reference on human relations training and group facilitation, Reading Book for Human Relations Training, NTL Institute, 1999. He received B.Sc., M.A. and Ph.D. degrees from Ohio State University.
