Ray Blunt
M.A., Public Service Leadership Development
Ray primarily focuses on working with public service leadership development, and succession and change management initiatives as a consultant, instructor, coach, and mentor. He has been affiliated with the Council for Excellence in Government since 1997 as a leadership coach and with the Leadership Development Academy of the Graduate School as an instructor and executive coach. He has also been a senior consultant with the Center for Human Resources Management, national Academy of Public Administration (NAPA). Mr. Blunt served 35 years in public service in the Air Force, the Department of Commerce, and the Department of Veterans Affairs, the last 17 of those years as a senior executive. He has successfully led a number of significant change initiatives and headed organizations involved in strategic planning, and policy and organizational analysis. Ray frequently speaks to a variety of forums in the public sector on leadership and strategic thinking issues. He has also worked extensively with nonprofit organizations in strategic planning and board management. Ray has been a consultant and executive coach with a number of governmental organizations. He is a 1964 graduate of the U.S. Air Force Academy with a concentration in engineering and political science and holds a master?s degree in economics from Central Missouri State University. He has done postgraduate work in management and theology.
