Help with IRS Keyword

What is IRS Keyword?

IRS Keyword provides the capability to jump to pages within the IRS.gov web site based on a unique keyword that is entered into the IRS Keyword box located on the upper right of the IRS.gov homepage.

Keywords allow you to quickly and easily find the information you are seeking. The IRS will market and publish keywords so that you can use the simple and friendly keyword rather than recalling and typing in an entire URL.

Help for IRS Keyword

IRS Keyword is not an IRS.gov search mechanism and will not return search-like results. Keywords are unique to allow the intended content to be displayed. Thesaurus-like functionality accounts for common misspellings and other mistakes.

IRS Keyword specifies whether an invalid term is entered by displaying similar valid keywords, or provides the option to perform a full site search or to search for forms and publications.

If you are not receiving the results you expect, verify you are using the correct keyword from your source information or by comparing to the complete list of IRS Keywords.

If you are still having difficulty, you may also try contacting the IRS Website Help Desk.
