& Genetics Policy Project - the University of Michigan, Michigan
State University Center for Ethics and Humanities in the Life Sciences
and Tuskegee University National Center for Bioethics in Research
and Health Care have joined together for this project which began
in March 1999. The project involves engaging African American and
Latino communities in dialogue about values, genetics, and public
policy.

As the frequency of diseases and biomarkers becomes more
localized by geography and ethnicity, this ethnohistorical map may
become a handy tool.
