Passport services (new applications, renewals, replacements, and additional pages) and citizenship claims are available Sunday through Thursday afternoons from 1:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. on a walk-in basis. No appointment is necessary. The Consular Section is on the ground floor of the U.S. Embassy.
The U.S. Department of State issues the latest, state-of-the-art passport, incorporating a photo-digitized image and other enhanced security features. All U.S. passport applications are sent to the U.S. for processing, which may take up to a month, so please plan your travel accordingly.
