Silicon Wafer

Caption:

This image shows the development of the sandwich junctions. The catenanes are deposited to form a Langmuir film (top), which is then transferred using Langmuir-Blodgett techniques to a lithographically patterned silicon wafer, and then the top electrode is evaporated through a layer mask.

This work was supported by a grant from the National Science Foundation.
