Microtweezer

Caption:

This is a microtweezer made of silicon. Microtweezers are used to pick up small objects of interest during scientific research. The tweezer body can be attached to any of a wide selection of available tips. The purpose of this particular design is to grip microgears 100 microns in diameter (the diameter of an average human hair) and install them on micro machines being assembled by micro robots. For further information about micromachines, visit the MEMS Precision Instruments website, http://www.memspi.com.
