Team Projects The Eastern Earth Surface Processes Team employs a staff of research, professional, technical and support personnel who conduct studies related to the processes that effect and modify the surface of the earth. These studies include multipurpose geologic mapping regional geologic studies to determine stratigraphy and geologic structure, topical studies to understand geologic and surficial processes, syntheses of earth science data to better understand the geologic framework of the Nation, and preparation of technical reports and maps for distribution to the public and other agencies. The Team works with other USGS entities, Federal and State agencies, universities and other research organizations.
