Plan on visiting a National Park? If so, check out what it takes to become a Junior Ranger!

Enrolling into a Junior Ranger program allows kids to learn more about the natural and cultural resources of the park you are visiting.

Anyone between the ages of five and fourteen years old can become a Junior Ranger by completing five activities in the Junior Ranger workbook or by attending special Junior Ranger classes (see Junior Ranger Program). When the booklet is complete return back to the visitor center to receive your official Herbert Hoover National Historic Site Junior Ranger badge.

Junior Ranger Program

July 7th and 14th

Become a Junior Ranger at Herbert Hoover National Historic Site by attending these two programs. Meet in front of the National Historic Site Visitor Center at 6:30 p.m. for a one and a half hour program as we look into the early life of Herbert Hoover. Anyone from five to fourteen years old can become a Junior Ranger at the Historic Site. Children under 10 must be accompanied by an adult.

This program will be offered again on August 11th and 18th, 2004.
