Multi-year drought
Tucson Field Office Flood-Warning
Gages
The Tucson Field Office installed these flood-warning gages in cooperation
with Pima County Flood Control and Arizona Division of Emergency Management
to provide flood warning to population downstream. The recently burned areas
in the Catalinas have produced floods two to five times larger than usual.
We expect the burned areas to produce similar floods this monsoon season.
