What We Do
The Division of Diversity and Civil Rights is responsible for the following five program areas:
Equal Opportunity -- Developing a work force that represents the diversity of the United States Civilian labor force.
Affirmative Employment -- Achieving equality of opportunity in the work environment through changing the organization's demographics to reflect our Nation's demographics.
Special Emphasis -- Utilizing Special Emphasis Programs to address equal employment opportunity and work force diversity efforts.
Discrimination -- Ensuring that employees and applicants for employment are not discriminated against based on race, color, national origin, religion, sex, sexual orientation, disability, reprisal, and/or retaliation.
Federally Assisted and Federally Conducted Programs -- Ensuring that federal and state entities who receive federal financial assistance comply with federal civil rights laws and regulations.
