Biology of the Perimenopause: Impact on Health and Aging Workshop

The purpose of the workshop, held on May 26-27, 2004 in Bethesda, MD, was to review the current state-of-the-science in the area of the interaction of the changing hypothalamic-pituitary-ovarian hormones across the menopausal transition with non-reproductive somatic and neuronal tissues resulting in pathophysiology associated with postmenopause.
