IT Program Review

Program review is a key component of the IT management process. The Information Technology Management Reform Act (ITMRA) and the Paperwork Reduction Act of 1996 (PRA) both address OMB review of agency IT management processes. OMB Circular A-130 requires that the head of an executive agency shall:

develop internal agency information policies and procedures and oversee, evaluate, and otherwise periodically review agency information resources management activities for conformity with the policies set forth in this Circular.

The NIH IT Management Guide addresses IT program review in the context of the NIH IT management process.
