This is your invitation to attend the 12th Annual NASA Technology & Business Conference, August 25 & 26, 2003 at The Desmond Hotel & Conference Center, Albany, New York. This is an annual event held by the Office of Small & Disadvantaged Business Utilization, NASA Headquarters and hosted by the NASA New England Outreach Center. Who Should Attend?

Small Businesses, Small Disadvantaged Businesses, Woman Owned Businesses, HUBZONE Businesses, Service Disabled Veteran Owned Businesses, Historically Black Colleges & Universities and Other Minority Institutions, Prime Contractors, and Government Agencies.

The Benefit of Participating:

This is an opportunity to learn about and develop business relationships in the areas of Prime Contracting, Subcontracting, Small Business Innovation Research Programs, and Technology Transfer & Commercialization programs directly with representatives of NASA, Prime Contractors and other Government Agencies. These unique initiatives presented will help businesses understand, prepare, and develop techniques to capture opportunities to grow their businesses. Participants travel from all parts of the United States to attend. One-On-One Counseling is a highlight of this event; this is an opportunity to present your company's capabilities, learn where the opportunities are, and follow up directly with a representative after the conference.

Who Will Be There?

Participating will be representatives from all ten NASA Field Centers and NASA Headquarters in addition to representatives from Prime Contractors and other Federal Agencies. Last year Boeing, Lockheed Martin, SAIC, TRW, Raytheon, Hamilton Sundstrand, UNISYS, Northrop Grumman, United Space Alliance, Ball Aerospace, ATK Thiokol, Johns Hopkins Applied Physics Lab, the U. S. Small Business Administration, the General Services Administration, Department of Treasury, Department of State, Department of Defense, Defense Contract Management Agency, U. S. Department of Veteran Affairs and federal and NASA funded programs - the regional Procurement Technical Assistance Centers, the NASA Northeast Regional Technology Transfer Center, and the Space Alliance Technology Outreach Program participated.

What is the Agenda?

On Monday, August 25th registration starts at 1:00 pm to 6:00 pm. Successive presentations from 2:00 pm to 5:00 pm given by the Space Alliance Technology Outreach Program, Procurement Technical Assistance Centers, the U. S. Small Business Administration, and the General Services Administration. Exhibit Showcase move-in is 8:00 am to 5:00 pm.

At 6:00pm to 8:00pm a Gala Reception and "Commitment to Excellence" Awards Program will be presented by the NASA New England Outreach Center.

On Tuesday, August 26th registration is 7:00 am to 3:00 pm. The conference begins at 8:00 am with morning refreshments served at 7:00 am. The Exhibit Showcase begins at 9:00 am and separate One-On-One Counseling starts at 10:00 am. Sessions for NASA Business Initiatives and NASA SBIR and Technology & Commercialization Initiatives run concurrently starting at 10:30 am until 11:45 am.

At 12:00 pm the Luncheon Recognition and Keynote Speaker Program begins. Starting at 2:00 pm the Exhibit Showcase opens and will close at 4:00 pm. One-On-One Counseling is from 2:00 pm to 5:00 pm and concurrent sessions of NASA Business Initiatives and NASA SBIR and Technology & Commercialization Initiatives will be presented from 2:00 pm to 5:00 pm. Exhibit Showcase move-out 4:00 pm to 6:00 pm.

A closing reception will begin at 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm.
