As soon as possible after arrival in Paraguay, U.S. citizens should register with the U.S. Embassy. Registration will assist the Embassy in contacting you in case of emergency and also replacing your U.S. passport should it become lost or stolen. Information on your whereabouts will not be released without your authorization. You should bring your U.S. passport with you to the Embassy so that we can make a photocopy as part of your registration. It should take no more than a few minutes to complete the registration card and have your passport recorded. We recommend registration to any U.S. citizen who plans to spend more than two weeks in Paraguay.

For registration, we are open Monday through Thursday from 1:00 PM until 5:00 PM and Friday from 7:30 AM to 11:30 AM except on Paraguayan and American holidays.
