General Officer Announcements

Secretary of Defense Donald H. Rumsfeld announced today that the president has made the following nominations:

 

          Army Col. Rodney O. Anderson has been nominated for promotion to the rank of brigadier general.  Anderson is currently serving as the executive assistant to the Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, The Joint Staff, Washington, D.C.

 

            Army Col. Steven M. Anderson has been nominated for promotion to the rank of brigadier general.  Anderson is currently serving as the assistant chief of staff, C-4/J-4, United Nations Command/Combined Forces Command/United States Forces Korea/deputy commander (support), Eighth United States Army, Korea.

 

Army Col. John M. Bednarek has been nominated for promotion to the rank of brigadier general.  Bednarek is currently serving as the commander, Operations Group, Joint Readiness Training Center and Fort Polk, Fort Polk, La.

 

            Army Col. Mark A. Bellini has been nominated for promotion to the rank of brigadier general.  Bellini is currently serving as the deputy commander, 21st Theater Support Command, United States Army Europe and Seventh Army, Germany.

 

            Army Col. Robert M. Brown has been nominated for promotion to the rank of brigadier general.  Brown is currently serving as the special assistant to the commanding general, United States Army Research, Development and Engineering Command, Fort Belvoir, Va.

 

            Army Col. John F. Campbell has been nominated for promotion to the rank of brigadier general.  Campbell is currently serving as the executive officer to the chief of staff, United States Army, Washington, D.C.

 

            Army Col. Charles T. Cleveland has been nominated for promotion to the rank of brigadier general.  Cleveland is currently serving as the chief of staff, United States Army Special Operations Command, Fort Bragg, N.C.

 

            Army Col. Walter L. Davis has been nominated for promotion to the rank of brigadier general.  Davis is currently inbound as the commander, 20th Support Command (Chemical, Biological, Radiological, Nuclear and High Yield Explosive), Aberdeen Proving Ground, Md.

 

Army Col. Jeffrey J. Dorko has been nominated for promotion to the rank of brigadier general.  Dorko is currently serving as the commander, United States Army Engineer Division, Southwestern, Dallas, Texas.

 

Army Col. Michael Ferriter has been nominated for promotion to the rank of brigadier general.  Ferriter is currently serving as the assistant division commander (operations), 82d Airborne Division, Fort Bragg, N.C.

 

Army Col. Mark A. Graham has been nominated for promotion to the rank of brigadier general.  Graham is currently serving as the deputy commander/assistant commandant, United States Army Field Artillery Center and School, Fort Sill, Okla.

 

Army Col. David D. Halverson has been nominated for promotion to the rank of brigadier general.  Halverson is currently serving as the commander, United States Army Operational Test Command, Fort Hood, Texas.

 

Army Col. Jeffrey C. Horne has been nominated for promotion to the rank of brigadier general.  Horne is currently serving as the deputy commander for operations, United States Army Space and Missile Defense Command, Arlington, Va.

 

Army Col. James L. Huggins, Jr., has been nominated for promotion to the rank of brigadier general.  Huggins is currently serving as the chief of staff, XVIII Airborne Corps and Fort Bragg, Fort Bragg, N.C.

 

            Army Col. Rodney L. Johnson has been nominated for promotion to the rank of brigadier general.  Johnson is currently serving as the commandant, United States Army Military Police School, United States Army Maneuver Support Center, Fort Leonard Wood, Mo.

 

            Army Col. Nickolas G. Justice has been nominated for promotion to the rank of brigadier general.  Justice is currently serving as the deputy program executive officer, Command, Control, and Communications (Tactical), Fort Monmouth, N.J.

 

Army Col. Brian A. Keller has been nominated for promotion to the rank of brigadier general.  Keller is currently serving as the deputy commander/assistant commandant, United States Army Intelligence Center and School, Fort Huachuca, Ariz.

 

Army Col. Michael J. Lally III has been nominated for promotion to the rank of brigadier general.  Lally is currently serving as the commander, Defense Distribution Center, Defense Logistics Agency, New Cumberland, Pa.

 

Army Col. Harvey T. Landwermeyer has been nominated for promotion to the rank of brigadier general.  Landwermeyer is currently serving as the deputy director, Officer Personnel Management Directorate, United States Army Human Resources Command, Alexandria, Va.

 

Army Col. Susan S. Lawrence has been nominated for promotion to the rank of brigadier general.  Lawrence is currently serving as the acting vice director, Command, Control, Communications, and Computer Systems, J-6, The Joint Staff, Washington, D.C.

 

Army Col. Kevin A. Leonard has been nominated for promotion to the rank of brigadier general.  Leonard is currently serving as the deputy commander, United States Army Field Support Command, Fort Belvoir, Va.

 

Army Col. Anne F. Macdonald has been nominated for promotion to the rank of brigadier general.  Macdonald is currently serving as a deputy director for operations, National Military Command Center, J-3, The Joint Staff, Washington, D.C.

 

Army Col. Richard R. McPhee has been nominated for promotion to the rank of brigadier general.  McPhee is currently serving as the assistant division commander (forward), 24th Infantry Division (Mechanized)/deputy commander (south), First United States Army, Fort Jackson, S.C.

 

Army Col. James M. Milano has been nominated for promotion to the rank of brigadier general.  Milano is currently serving as the assistant chief of staff, C-3, Coalition Forces Land Component Command, Camp Doha, Kuwait.

 

Army Col. Theodore C. Nicholas has been nominated for promotion to the rank of brigadier general.  Nicholas is currently serving as the assistant chief of staff, C-2/J-2, United Nations Command/Combined Forces Command/United States Forces Korea, Korea.

 

Army Col. Peter J. Palmer has been nominated for promotion to the rank of brigadier general.  Palmer is currently serving as the deputy director, C-5, Multi-National Force-Iraq, Iraq.

 

Army Col. William N. Phillips has been nominated for promotion to the rank of brigadier general.  Phillips is currently serving as the deputy program executive officer, Aviation, Redstone Arsenal, Ala.

 

Army Col. Belinda Pinckney has been nominated for promotion to the rank of brigadier general.  Pinckney is currently serving as the congressional appropriations liaison officer, Office of the Under Secretary of Defense (Comptroller), Washington, D.C.

 

Army Col. E. Eric Porter has been nominated for promotion to the rank of brigadier general.  Porter is currently serving as the adjutant general/commander, Physical Disability Agency/executive director, Military Postal Service Agency, Alexandria, Va.

 

Army Col. Ricky L. Rife has been nominated for promotion to the rank of brigadier general.  Rife is currently serving as the director of materiel, Office of the Deputy Chief of Staff, G-8, United States Army, Washington, D.C.

 

Army Col. Michael J. Terry has been nominated for promotion to the rank of brigadier general.  Terry is currently serving as the director of plans, operations and readiness, Office of the Deputy Chief of Staff, G-4, United States Army, Washington, D.C.

 

Army Col. Christopher Tucker has been nominated for promotion to the rank of brigadier general.  Tucker is currently serving as the director of integration, Office of the Deputy Chief of Staff, G-8, United States Army, Washington, D.C.

 

Army Col. Michael S. Tucker has been nominated for promotion to the rank of brigadier general.  Tucker is currently serving as the assistant division commander (maneuver), 1st Armored Division, United States Army Europe and Seventh Army, Germany.

 

Army Col. Andrew B. Twomey has been nominated for promotion to the rank of brigadier general.  Twomey is currently serving as the executive assistant to the commander, United States Pacific Command, Camp H. M. Smith, Hawaii.

 

Army Col. Michael J. Walsh has been nominated for promotion to the rank of brigadier general.  Walsh is currently serving as the commander, United States Army Engineer Division, South Atlantic, Atlanta, Ga.

 

Army Col. Robert H. Woods, Jr. has been nominated for promotion to the rank of brigadier general.  Woods is currently serving as the director, Human Resources Policy Directorate, Office of the Deputy Chief of Staff, G-1, United States Army, Washington, D.C.

 

Army Col. James C. Yarbrough has been nominated for promotion to the rank of brigadier general.  Yarbrough is currently serving as the deputy commander/assistant commandant, United States Army Infantry Center and School, Fort Benning, Ga.
