The Department of Defense announced today the death of a soldier who was supporting Operation Iraqi Freedom.

          Pfc. Joshua K. Titcomb, 20, of Somerset, Ky., died Sept. 29 in Ar Ramadi, Iraq, of injuries sustained on September 28 when an improvised explosive device exploded near his military vehicle. Titcomb was assigned to 2^nd Battalion, 72^nd Armor Regiment, 2^nd Infantry Division, Camp Casey, Korea.

         The incident is under investigation.
