[JARS top 5% applet]
Hourly data are produced by the Hydrometeorological Automated Data System (HADS),
operated by the NOAA / NWS / Office of Hydrology.
Daily data are provided by the National Centers for Environmental Prediction.

New java code: 25-Jan-00. In Netscape, use shift-reload to load the new code. In Internet Explorer, restart your browser.
Color-coding is now determined by the daily total for stations that report both daily and hourly.

Note: these data have not been Quality Controlled. We are aware that many reports are in error. Please use these data carefully.

This web site displays daily and hourly precipitation totals from over 8000 stations throughout the continental United States. We presently have over a years' worth of data on line.

You will need a Java-aware web browser to view the data. This may take several minutes to load. It may help to increase the size of Netscape's memory cache (under options, Network preferences menu).
