Recruitment Process

If we ask you to submit a resume rather than a full application package, we will review it, circulate it to managers, and you may be contacted for a preliminary interview. Even if you have had such an interview at the Volpe Center, the Federal Government requires that all applicants must eventually compete through the civil service process. Thus, your submission of a resume DOES NOT constitute the official application for a position. When a Volpe Center position is formally announced, a job announcement will be posted on the United States Office of Personnel Management's (OPM) USAJOBS web site at www.usajobs.opm.gov

Please remember to periodically revisit the Volpe Center Career Opportunities web site in order to get updated information on positions available at the Volpe Center. The OPM web site has up-to-date information on both Volpe Center announced positions, as well as those throughout the Federal Government.

Please send any questions you may have to recruiting@volpe.dot.gov.
