WELCOME to the
Office of Space Science
Education and Public Outreach Program!!
The Office of Space Science is committed to fostering the broad involvement of the space science research community in E/PO with the goal of enhancing the Nation's formal education system and contributing to the broad public understanding of science, mathematics, and technology. Making progress towards achieving this goal has become an important part of the broad justification for public support of space science.
OSS invites and strongly encourages all eligible investigators whose scientific proposals have been recently selected for award under an OSS NRA to propose a supplementary E/PO program in conjunction with their research program or to participate in E/PO in some other appropriate fashion. In addition, anyone holding an existing multiple year research award already funded through any previous NRA is also encouraged to become involved in an E/PO activity including proposing an E/PO supplement to their award.
OSS has many avenues for participation in E/PO by space scientists and for such contributions to be recognized and acknowledged. Information on the spectrum of opportunities now available for the space science community to participate in E/PO (together with information on how to submit a proposal for supplementary E/PO funding) may be obtained through the links below.
