New technologies offer promise for improved health but can also add new complexities to the process of sorting through, validating, and accepting new science as a basis for decision making. The Focus (p. A678) examines how two federal agencies, the EPA and the FDA, are navigating the winding road toward regulatory acceptance of toxicogenomics data as a tool to improve public health.
