The mission of the U.S. Geological Survey (USGS) Mine Drainage Interest Group (MDIG) is to promote communication, cooperation, and collaboration among USGS scientists working on problems related to mining and the environment. The group is interdisciplinary and includes members from all USGS regions and disciplines (Water, Geology, Biology, and Geography.)
