Java 1.4.2_04 and JDK 1.2.2_17 Release
A newer version of J2SE 1.4.2_04 and JDK 1.2.2_17 have been released. Default Java /usr/java is now J2SE 1.4.2. JDK 1.2.2 is still accessible through /usr/java1.2.

New Solaris 7 and 8 Patch Release
New sets of Operating System patches (ospatch/112) for Solaris 7 and 8 have been released to both sun4u_57 and sun4u_58 ALW workstations. This set contains new kernel, drivers, CDE and security patches including Recommended and Security Patch Cluster, Maintenance Update, and miscellaneous patches.
Please reboot or run '/etc/alwconfig' as root user as soon as possible.

Analyze 6 Release
Analyze 6 (AVW) is released for Solaris 7 and 8 platforms. To launch, run "Analyze". Analyze is a multidimensional, multimodality biomedical image data analysis program.

OpenSSL 0.9.7d Release
OpenSSL/101 (0.9.7d) is released with important buffer overflow fix for sun4u_57 and sun4u_58 platforms. OpenSSH/352 (3.5p1 patched) is also a rebuild release against this newer OpenSSL.
