Sending Your Feedback to DFAS
Help us get your question to the right office in DFAS. Please provide a full description of the

before writing to DFAS (i.e. to your local payroll office).

- Are you military on active duty or retired? Which service?
- Military members with questions regarding their pay must first address them to their local
Administrative and Finance Offices. These local offices are your best source of information.
- Are you the spouse or former spouse of an active or retired military member? Which service?
- Are you a civilian employee of DoD? What is your servicing pay office (if you know)? What is
your employing activity (i.e. Army, Navy, Air Force, Marine Corps)
- Are you a vendor? Please include information about your contract, a point of contact in your
company, and any other pertinent data.
Including items like these, in addition to your name and phone number, will help DFAS respond faster

Some specific details on how to help us serve you better:
- If you are seeking items only available in hardcopy, please provide your postal address
along with your e-mail address. We will notify you by e-mail whether we have the item(s)
you seek. To ensure a timely delivery of your information, please make sure your postal
address is accurate.
- We will convey your comments about DFAS policies and practices to senior
DFAS Officials, but we do not have the staff to respond to all such comments.
