Deployment Health Guest Lecturer Program

The DoD Deployment Health Clinical Center is collaborating with various departments at Walter Reed Army Medical Center to sponsor the Deployment Health Guest Lecturer Series.  To view our entire taped guest lecturer series for health care providers, please click here

The goal of the lecture series is to present clinical education on current and emerging deployment health issues and to foster interdisciplinary collaboration.   We offer accreditation for  the disciplines listed below.  To earn continuing education credit, you will need to attend the lecture on-site.  Please visit our web site regularly for listings. 


Continuing Medical Education

The Uniformed Services University of the Health Sciences (USUHS) is accredited by the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education to provide continuing medical education for physicians.

USUHS designates this educational activity for a maximum of 4 category 1 credits toward the AMA Physician's Recognition Award. Each physician should claim only those hours of credit that he/she actually spent in the educational activity.

Continuing Nursing Education

This activity, for 4.8 contact hours, is provided by the Uniformed Services University of the Health Sciences (USUHS), which is accredited as a provider of continuing nursing education by the American Nurses Credentialing Center's Commission on Accreditation.

American College of Healthcare Executives

The Uniformed Services University of the Health Sciences (USUHS) is authorized to award 4 hours of pre-approved Category II (non-ACHE) continuing education credit for this program toward advancement, or recertification in the American College of Healthcare Executives. Participants in this program wishing to have the continuing education hours applied toward Category II credit should list their attendance when applying for advancement or recertification in ACHE.

American Psychological Association

The Uniformed Services University of the Health Sciences is approved by the American Psychological Association to offer continuing education for psychologists. USUHS maintains responsibility for the program.

Social Work

This course is sponsored by USUHS which is acredited as a provider of continuing education for social workers by the Maryland State Board of Social Work Examiners. This program has been awareded Cateogry I continuing education credit. USUSHS maintains responsibility for the program.
